The Garrison Commander of the One Division Nigerian Army, and the Kaduna state police commissioner have relocated to the Southern part of the state.
Brigadier General Ismaila Isa and CP Agyole Abeh left the state capital on Monday on a mandate to coordinate a determined response to renewed attacks by armed bandits on communities in Kaura and Jema’a local government areas.
A statement by the state governor’s media aide indicates that the situation has been brought under control, but security operations continue.
It adds that the state governor, Nasir El-rufai has extended his condolences to families and surviving victims of the attacks which began Sunday night.
The governor adds that despite the difficulties and pain of the attacks, the bandits would be caught and dealt with
