The two candidates vying for the southwest Chairmanship seat of the People’s Democratic Party, Eddy Olafeso and Taofeek Arapaja have promised to accept the result of the Congress and work with whoever emerges.
Speaking with journalists shortly after being accredited, the candidates said the contest is a family affair aimed at repositioning the party.
They commended the accreditation process and conduct of the delegates who had come from the six States that make-up the region.
As at the time of filling this report, delegates from all the six States have been accredited while voting while the Congress is expected to commence any moment from now.
Seven hundred and forty-three delegates are expected to participate in the Congress.
