Players and officials of Premier League side Sunshine Stars of Akure, have staged a protest in Akure, Ondo State, against the non-payment of their salaries and allowances.
They were joined by members of the state football development agency and players of the Sunshine queens who claimed they were being owed ten months salary.
The protesting players marched to the governor’s office in Alagbaka area of the town chanting various anti-government and solidarity songs to express their displeasure over the club’s poor welfare packages.
