The Nigeria Football Federation has given its President, Amaju Pinnick, the mandate to vote for a candidate of his choice in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) elections in March.
The President of Madagascar FA, Ahmad Ahmad is challenging incumbent CAF boss, Issa Hayatou, who has spent 28 years on the seat.
Pinnick has declared his support for Ahmad to challenge Hayatou.
NFF’s Media and Publicity Committee Chairman, Suleiman Yahaya-Kwande, says Pinnick has the Federation’s mandate to cast his vote for a candidate who will best serve Nigeria’s interest.
The Caf elections will hold on March the 16th in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
