Natives of trouble spots in Southern Kaduna and herdsmen in the region will soon be brought to the state capital for peace talks.
This follows the cancellation of a planned town hall meeting between both parties in Kafanchan on Friday.
In place of the peace talks, the security personnel went on a visitation to various communities.
And worrisome for the locals is the manner in which the attackers operate.
The vegetation in the area is forest like, and it stretches as far as the eyes can see and the locals say the bandits have mastered the terrain.
There’s now aerial surveillance of the area as residents grapple with the restored curfew in Kaura and Jema’a local government areas.
Security personnel on land on the other hand are ensuring strict compliance with the directive.
The locals insist the attackers are usually of Fulani extraction.
The confusion at the moment has to do with how to fish them out and deal with them squarely.
But security personnel insist they are on top of the situation.
