Armed Bandits in Zamfara have killed one Chinese Nationale and injured another
The two Chinese Nationales were ambushed by a large number of terrorists in an Hilux Vehicle conveying them alongside Police escort on their way to assess an ongoing project in Maradun Local Government area of the state.
A press statement by the Zamfara police says troops on receiving the Information responded to the distress call of bandits on the Hillux vehicle conveying two Chinese nationals with their police personnel escort on their way to Maradun Local Government Area of the state to assess some government projects.
And as a result of the exchange of fire, the experts received gunshot wounds and were brought to the Federal Medical Center in Gusau, where one died.
Eleven armed Bandits according to the statement were neutralized, two AK 47 riffles, cutlasses among other weapons belonging to the Bandits were recovered
Other Victims of the attack are currently receiving treatment at the federal Medical Centre, Gusau and are responding to treatment
The police adds that additional troops have been deployed to the area to complement the ongoing operations by the joint security operatives to restore normalcy and apprehend the fleeing assailants
