Governor Samuel Ortom has expressed confidence in the Presidential bid of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, saying he fit to address challenges confronting Nigeria if elected.
Governor Ortom spoke at the Benue People’s House, Makurdi when Peter Obi visited the Governor on his way to celebrate Christmas with one of the IDP camps in the state.

He is in Benue to celebrate Christmas with one of the IDP camps in the state and has decided to stop by to visit Governor Ortom
Governor Ortom challenges other presidential candidates to emulate Mr Obi’s humane and examplary leadership qualities by reaching out to the IDPs
He discloses that that there are eight official and ten unofficial Camps housing over two million IDPs in the state.
The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi later proceeds to Abagena IDPs Camp, Makurdi where he celebrates Christmas and also sympathizes with the over 2.5million IDPs in Benue.
Peter Obi assures the IDPs of security in the country if elected as President come 2023 and also donates three Million Naira (3,000,000) as a package to celebrate with the IDPs.
The displaced persons express gratitude.
Peter Obi is the only Presidential candidate that has visited the Benue IDPs to celebrate with them and share the pains they are passing through.
G-5 Governors Meeting in London
The aggrieved Governors within the Peoples Democratic Party have reportedly met in the United Kingdom over the Christmas period to determine who they will support as a Presidential Candidate in the 2023 Elections.
According to Sources who are privy to the meeting, the Governors are expected to announce their candidate on the 5th of January.
There are indications that they may favour the candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi,
The decision though may not change much on the ground with Oyo, Benue, Abia and Enugu States all still believed to be in play for either the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party while Rivers could swing any way.
