61 athletes will represent Nigeria in nine events at the Tokyo Games which will run from the 23rd of July and ends on the 8th of August.
While awaiting the World Athletics ratification of the country’s 4 by 100 metres, 4 by 400 metres and the mixed relay teams, Nigeria will be participating in athletics, basketball, badminton, table tennis, Taekwondo, canoeing, rowing, gymnastic and wrestling
Track and field has 22 athletes, while basketball will present 24 players in both the Men’s and Women’s event of the games.
The Athletes will undergo a 14-day Pre-Games Training Camp in
Kisarazu , Japan, with the athletes scheduled to depart for Kisarazu on 6th July, 2021 while the second batch
depart on 13th July, 2021.
The paralympic Teams will depart in one batch on 8th August, 2021.
