Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has reiterated his commitment towards strengthening the states economy through sport and youth empowerment.
The governor made this known while inspecting ongoing infrastructure projects in Ibadan.
The facilities inspected by the governor were the Akobo General Gas Flyover, the 21-Kilometer Ajia-Airport-New Ife Expressway road, with spur to Amuloko and Lekan Salami sport complex remodeling project.
The Governor while speaking at the newly upgraded stadium said the new face of the sport arena had been equipped to meet up with world’s standard.
Governor Makinde stressed that youth empowerment through sport will continue to be the administration’s priority.
Governor Makinde said he hopes to host international events in the newly revamped stadium.
Other equipped facilities in the stadium include, hanging room for 25 players and wet areas with capacity for 11 players, doping control room, clinic, degree’s room, match officials and a youth centre/Ball Boys Rooms.
