The Outcome of the Presidential Election will have a knock on effect on the subsequent Elections during the 2023 Election Cycle.
Former Senator and activist, Sheu Sanni, disclosed this while speaking to TVC News Nifemi Oguntoye on the This Morning Programme on Friday Morning.
Mr Sheu Sanni while analysing the trends that will shape the 2023 General elections which start in a little less than 7 weeks now said the fact the current President, Muhammadu Buhari, is not on the ballot is a major advantage that those in opposition may be working to take advantage of.
He disclosed that he expect a massive turnout of voters especially for the Presidential Election since the four major candidates in the Elections, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Mr Peter Obi are people that a lot of Nigerians are passionate about.
He said the fact the President Muhammadu Buhari is challenging and has made a lot of Nigerians excited as to what will happen after the Election.
He disclosed that the 2023 Election especially the Presidential Election will see the largest turnout in the history of Nigeria.
He also said the outcome will eventually determine what will happen in most States in term of the Governorship elections and the State Houses of Assembly.
He also said the influence of religion or tribe in the Politics of Nigeria is due to the competence of Leaders who do not see themselves as representing the interest of the People but as conquerors.
He added that the people who have led Kaduna State in the last forty years have never led with the Fear of God or Justice making it difficult for the people to say that religion or ethnicity does not matter to them.
He accused the Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El Rufai, of not doing enough to bring the people of the State together.
