Senate President, Bukola Saraki has given Senate committees a Thursday deadline to submit reports on 2017 budget.
He said if this is not done, the upper chamber would be forced to work with Presidency figures as presented by President Muhammadu Buhari.
About twenty committees are yet to submit their reports to the Appropriation committee as Senate fails to meet its earlier target to pass the 2017 budget before the end of March.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives has also told committee chairmen yet to submit their report on the 2017 budget to do so or risk sanctions.
Yakubu Dogara said the directive became necessary to enable the Appropriation Committee conclude work on the budget for passage.
