Police Tactical operatives has arrested Two a female gun runner and her partner in crime along Gusau – Wanke -Dansadau road in Zamfara while conveying a riffle and live ammunition
One AK47 riffle, three Hundred and Twenty Five rounds of live ammunition and One Magazine meant for delivery to bandits in their enclaves was Intercepted
The suspects are Nana Ibrahim and Emmanuel Emmanuel
Two gun runners were apprehended by the police one week ago
A press statement by the police says the arrest was sequel to an intelligence information received on the supply of the exhibits from Benue State to an undisclosed bandit’s camp in Zamfara
“Stop and search by the operatives led to the recovery of the above exhibits and in the course of interrogation the suspects confessed to have engaged in several gun running business with bandits operating in Zamfara and other neighbouring states” PPRO
The police adds that effort is ongoing to apprehend their partners in crime and charge them to court for prosecution
This success by the police is coming a few hours after a retired army colonel Rabiu Yandoto and his two children were release by their Captors after payment of ransom
The retired army colonel and his children spent ten days in Captivity after been ambushed and kidnapped along Gusau -Tsafe road.

Colonel Yandoto and his children were ambushed by Bandits and whisked away to an unknown destination on first January along Gusau-Tsafe road while on their way to Yandoto, their hometown
The abductors had earlier demanded fifty million naira as ransom for the release of the three Victims, but after series of negotiations it was reduced to five million Naira
Sources say huge sum money amounting to Ten million naira was paid as ransom for their release
The development is coming less than twenty four hours after the bandits insisted that they will not accept any amount less than five million Naira
