A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress APC in Zamfara Musa Mallaha has dumped the party for the People’s Democratic Party
Musa Mallaha was a former chairman of the APC and the Deputy Organising secretary of the party in Zamfara Central Senatorial Zone until his defection
He dumps the party, APC and join the People’s to contribute to the party’s quest for Victory in march general election
Musa Mallaha promise to use his wealth of experience to garner votes for the PDP Governorship Candidate, Dauda Lawal and other Candidates
Mr. Mallaha express optimism that the PDP in Zamfara will clinch power come March and that the party will restore the lost glory of the state in all areas
The former APC Chairman was received by the PDP Governorship Candidate Dauda Lawal, acting state chairman of the PDP, Mukhtar Lugga among other chieftains
Dauda Lawal commend Musa Mallaha for joining the winning team, adding that his defection to the PDP will add value to the party
The PDP Governorship Candidate enjoin those who wants to join in his dream of reclaiming Zamfara to be bold and take the bull by the horn without any fear
The Zamfara PDP expresses confidence in winning Elections at all levels
They also promise to conduct it’s Campaign activities in a peaceful manner and according to the rules of the game as enshrined in the INEC Electoral guidelines.
Zamfara APC Tells PDP To stop destruction of its Property
The Zamfara state Chapter of the All Progressive Congress has condemned in strong terms what it described as attack and vandalization of its Campaign properties by some Political thugs
The ruling APC is accusing the main opposition party in the state, the PDP for using youths to set ablaze an APC Branded vehicle, billboards and other properties during a welcome home rally of it’s Governorship Candidate, Dauda Lawal last Monday
Addressing a press conference at the party’s secretariat in Gusau, Spokesperson of the Zamfara APC Yusuf Idris Gusau says so act would no longer tolerate
He says the APC is fully committed to peaceful Campaigns and working day and night to ensure Victory at the poll but not to attack any Political party or it’s Campaign properties
Mr. Yusuf noted that the state has been enjoying relative peace until the PDP brought in thugs during it’s last Monday Rally in Gusau
The APC according to him always sue for peace and enjoin it’s members to remain calm in the interest of peace, but the recent move by the PDP to the APC is viewed as a sign of weaknesses.
“We want to sound a strong warning that let last Monday’s attack on our members and properties be the last, we don’t want violence in what ever form” he said.
“A branded vehicle with Governor Matawalle and APC Logo on it was blocked by thugs destroyed and set ablaze and the Suspect arrested says he acted on directives given to him by a key Politician” Mr. Yusuf said.
“The PDP should know that no one has the monopoly of trouble, ”if that is what they want, we also know their houses, their vehicles and even their movement” he maintained.
“We have always supported both the government and security agencies in maintaining peace, law and order but we won’t tolerate any attempt to attack us even verbally from the PDP” he added
The APC Insist it is currently soliciting for votes ahead of the February and March Elections, therefore, the PDP should also engage in gathering votes not fermenting trouble and attacks
“A conducive political environment for peaceful elections is the priority of the state Governor Bello Matawalle and his team” the APC Image maker said
“APC has viewed politics and peaceful coexistence as going hand-in-hand “we wish to call on Political parties especially the leadership of the PDP to call their house to order without which we will be matching their attacks appropriately”. He said
The Zamfara APC commend the Continious effort of security agencies for their steadfastness, prompt action and bringing all bad elements to book, adding that the APC is completely against bloodletting and destruction of public properties which have become the trademark of other Political parties.
