The lying in state for the former head of interim national government, Ernest Shonekan is currently ongoing at his residence in the Ikoyi area of Lagos.
Chief Shonekan died on January 11th , 2022 after brief illness.
The former head of State was the Abese of Egbaland, a titled bestowed on him in 1981.
