Nigerians have been encouraged to obtain their permanent voter cards, PVC at designated centers as instructed by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
To this end, the All Progressives Congress has taken the sensitisation program on whole collection of permanent voter cards to different ethnic groups in Apapa local government area of Lagos State.
The program is an initiative of the directorate of ethnic nationalities, Lagos APC campaign Council led by honorable Fatai Ayoola and is aimed at ensuring that ethnic groups resident in Lagos participate in the forthcoming election and also vote for the party’s presidential candidate Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu and governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Meanwhile, Lawmaker representing Badagry Federal Constituency, Mr. Babatunde Hunpe, has directed his group, Team Hunpe Independent Campaign Group, to begin house-to-house sensitisation on permanent voter card (PVC) collection.
He told reporters in Badagry, Lagos State, that the campaign was to encourage residents to collect PVCs to vote in the election.
The lawmaker said although residents turned out last weekend to collect the cards, “the morale has dropped.”
Hunpe said the Federal Government had assured Nigerians the elections would hold, urging residents to disregard any information the exercise might not be conducted.
