The Standards Organisation of Nigeria is set to boost exports of agricultural products through standardization.
The agency is building capacity through a certification scheme to drive efforts in that regard.
It says that the move is aimed at raising the quality profile of Nigeria made goods, especially agricultural produce, some of which had been banned.
The director General of the agency, Osita Aboloma says that the latest move would ensure products certification in line with the MANCAP scheme accreditation.
He also noted that the quality assurance of Nigeria’s exportable products would raise global and domestic confidence level on the country’s products and processes.
