The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi says he will utilize the human and material resources in Borno State to bring prosperity to the people and end poverty in the northern region if elected as President in the forth coming general election.
He stated this in Maiduguri, during his campaign visit alongside party stalwarts.
Speaking at a rally the, Mr Obi said that other parties had failed so far, which makes it necessary for Nigerians to try labour party for the needed change.
He lamented on the security challenges in Borno and other parts of Nigeria, affirming his administration’s readiness to restore the people’s hope and ensure that no Nigerian stayed in displaced persons camp.
SDP promises to end insecurity in Taraba
The gubernatorial candidate of Social Democratic Party in Taraba State, Baido has promised to end ravaging kidnappings, banditry, and general insecurity in the state if voted into office.
Speaking at a campaign rally in Jalingo, Baido appealed to electorates to shun inducement from money bag politicians but rather consider competence and exprience in electing the next governor of the state.

He insisted that the era of vote buying and ballot snatching is over with the electorates transmission system adopted by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
He expresses optimism he will win the gubernatorial polls.

SDP is seen as the third force in Taraba State due to the popularity of its guber candidate and it is the only party without litigation issues from its primaries which may work to its advantage in the general election.

The crowd, comprising APC members of Igbo extraction converged chanting solidarity songs for bola Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu in a carnival like event.
The group is made up of Ndigbo from the 20 Local Government Areas, and the 37 Local Council Development Areas, of the state.
The director, ethnic directorate, Lagos APC campaign council, Fatai Ayoola said the initiative is a welcome development, adding that bola Tinubu remains the candidate to beat in the coming presidential election.
