Nigeria’s Federal Executive Council has approved the lease of fast going vessels for the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency.
Transportation Minister Rotimi Amaechi stated this at the end of the FEC meeting.
The minister put the cost of leasing the vessels at $12.4 million dollars, and noted that it was for the next one year.
He said the vessels will enable the agency perform its responsibility on the high sea, but did not disclose the number to be leased, nor the supplier.
