Governor of Imo, Hope Uzodinma has sworn in Theresa Chikeka as the new substantive Chief Judge of the state.
Governor Uzodinma stated that it will be a grave error if the judiciary fails to uphold the sanctity of the law without regard for unwholesome considerations.
He made the comments at the swearing in ceremony of the Chief Judge of the State and the President Customary Court of appeal at the Executive Chambers Government house, Owerri.
The Judiciary in Imo State for the past two years have been in the control of an acting Chief Judge.
But now, a substantive Chief Judge has been sworn in for effective dispensation of justice.
While urging men of the bench to be partners in the government’s development drive, Governor Uzodinma stated that the people of Imo State expect a lot from them and urged them not to betray their trust.
For the new Chief Judge, it is a time to live above board as the last hope of the common man
