Anxieties over the health of President Muhamadu Buhari were addressed yesterday as he turned up for the Juamaat prayers at the State House Mosque.
For most of last week, the rumours of his ill-health have made some groups push for his resignation.
But a group which calls itself “Buhari/Osinbajo Again 2019” has described those calls a distraction.
National and State leaders of Buhari/Osibanjo Group, Jingi Umar Rufai and Yahaya Hamajulde said calls from certain quarters on president Buhari to resign are unfortunate.
The group declared no vacancy in the presidency, saying, “we will keep on giving Mr. President and his Deputy the necessary support ahead of the 2019 general election.”
The highlight of the meeting was the offering of prayers for the improved health of the president by both Muslim and Christian faithful.
