A total of One hundred youth have benefitted from the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) skill acquisition training and empowerment programme in Ogun State.
The training was on modern methods of Electrical Installations and Maintenance.
These are beneficiaries of NASENI skill acquisition training and empowerment programme selected from different parts of the state.
The Executive Vice Chairman of the body Muhammad Haruna who was represented at the event said the skill development programme was designed to breed competent workforce and to train the youth with modern skills that can prepare them for opportunities in their environment.
He commended the Chairman, Senate Committee on Finance, Solomon Adeola, his colleagues at the 9th Senate and President Muhammadu Buhari for their support for the return of NASENI to the Presidency.
Stakeholders at the event commended the initiative and appealed to NASENI to continue to expand the scope of the training for the benefit of many unemployed Nigerians youths.
They urged beneficiaries to make positive use of the training and the tools provided for them.
The National Vice President of Licensed Electrical Contractors Association of Nigeria, Yinka Akintomide and a representative of the beneficiary said they are enjoying such privilege for the first time and commended the federal Government for the initiative.

Zamfara Anti-Thuggery operatives has threatened to shutdown petrol filling stations, Eateries, Motor parks, Shops and other Businesses who refuse to accept the old Naira Notes in the state
The Commander, Zamfara State Anti-Thuggery Bello Bakyaswa gave the warning when he visited some filling stations, Grain market and other places in Gusau, the state Capital
He says the visit is to monitor those rejecting the old currency notes,which according to him has continued to add to the sufferings Nigerians are passing through since the Introduction of the new currency notes
The threat is coming barely forty eight hours after the State Governor Bello Matawalle ordered the arrest of anyone who refuses to accept the old two hundred, Five hundred and one thousand naira notes before the 15th of Febuary this year
Mr. Matawalle at an event over the weekend in Gusau, Insist that the old Naira Notes remain legal tender and urges traders and other residents to accept the old currency
