Former Nigeria athletics star Enefiok Udo-Obong has declared his interest in running for the presidency of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria.
The elections will hold on June 13.
Udobong was in Nigeria’s 2000 Sydney Olympics 4×400 relay team that finished second but were later awarded gold after USA were stripped of the prize.
He played down talks that former athletes do not always make good administrators.
Udobong believes he has the expertise and experience needed in the sport.
Meanwhile, Former Nigeria queen of the tracks, Mary Onyali-Omagbemi, has also declared her interest to run for the Vice Presidency of the AFN.
