The Continental Basketball League continues to gather momentum with exciting matches attracting attention to the indoor sports hall of the Teslim Balogun stadium in Lagos.
The tournament which dunked off last Friday is being held in partnership with the Lagos state sports commission to celebrate Lagos at 50.
The competition features six teams – Eko Kings, Lagos city stars and Lagos Warriors. Others are Izobe Dragons from Libreville, Gabon, Abidjan Raiders from Ivory Coast and Younde Giants from Cameroon.
The contest will climax when the top four teams meet in Libreville, Gabon for the final championship.
Initiator of the Continental Basketball league, Ugo Udezue who is a former NBA player has defended his decision to invite foreign players for the competition.
