The launch of “end violence against children in FCT” campaign has taken place to cap up events in Abuja to celebrate the national children’s day event.
TVC News Kemi Balogun reports that the Children all lined up in their uniform on Saturday as it’s customary, to perform the Children’s Day parade. The children from public schools are eager to use this opportunity to make a call on the government
Out of 10 children in Nigeria, 6 of them will experience one form of sexual or physical violence before they turn 18.
Government and it’s partners say they are ready to work with the theme “child protection and the sdgs: issues and opportunities”, to provide an enabling environment for these kids.
Children remain the greatest resource that a country can have but the reality is yet to be appreciated if activities of government are anything to go by.
