A member of the House of Representatives, who was abducted along the Abuja-Kaduna highway has been released.
Garba Durbunde is the lawmaker representing Takai/Sumaila federal constituency of Kano state at the lower legislative chamber.
An aide of the lawmaker, Tunde Adela confirmed the development.
Durbunde was said to have been kidnapped while returning to Abuja after a trip to Kano.

He was a commissioner in the administration of former Kano state governor, Rabiu Kwakwanso, who is now a senator.
