Confederation of African football President, Ahmad has chaired the meeting of the Organising Committee for Interclub competitions on Wednesday at the CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt
Ahmad announced the renewal of the Standing Committees in May with a reduced membership and an absolute priority given to the proposals from the presidents of Member Associations.
The Committee deliberated on the reports of the previous round of matches of the 2017 CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup.
It imposed fines on some clubs and Member Associations, mainly for poor organization of matches, with amounts between 1000 and 5000 US dollars.
This was the first time a committee meeting was chaired by the CAF President since his election in March.
