The decision of the executive committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state to suspend the State Chairman, Isaacs Kekemeke, prompted the party to set-up a fact-finding committee to look into the allegations levelled him.
The allegations levelled against the embattled chairman at a meeting in Akure last week, include financial impropriety, anti-party activities and gross abuse of office.
After much deliberation on the allegations, the committee upheld the suspension of the state chairman of the APC.
The committee, headed by Abayomi Adesanya said it was not set up to witch-hunt Kekemeke.
But the embattled chairman has described his suspension as a mere joke carried out by some miscreants in the party.
Kekemeke said the allegations levelled against him are baseless
A member of the fact-finding committee , Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye insists that the chairman has a case to answer, a position Kekemeke vehemently kicked against.
The committee still has some weeks to report its findings to the state executive committee of the party.
