Police are carrying out investigations, after four of their officers were shot dead by bank robbers in Iwo, Osun State.
The armed men first attacked the police station in the town, before targeting three banks on Bowen University Road.
Some of the ATMs at the banks were reportedly removed by the thieves but it was not clear if they took the machines away as robbers and policemen exchanged fire during the operation.
