The House of Representatives has so far introduced 1,064 bills in its last two years of inauguration.
Among these Bills introduced, 50 are executive bills.
Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara made this known while delivering his opening remarks to mark the second year of the 8th House of representatives inauguration.
The eight house of Representatives was inaugurated June ninth 2015 with members pledging to be committed to the affairs of their representatives and the country.
On the day of its second anniversary, the house received dignitaries from the upper chamber and concerned Nigerians as they outlined their achievements so far.
It would also serve as a midterm report and the speaker was proud to acknowledge that the house has lived up to expectations in the discharge of its duties.
Senate President, Bukola Saraki was represented by Senator Dino Melaye and he commended the House on its achievements in the last two years, pledging a continuous partnership in ensuring the country’s progress.
Other invited guests commended the House for helping in reducing cost of governance.
They advised the House to always take decisions for the public interest.
And as it starts the second half of its four year term, it is expected that the eight house of Representatives,will break more records.
