Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state has reassured members of the resident communities in the state of their security and safety within the length and breadth of the state.
The Governor gave the assurance when he hosted members of the resident communities at the annual iftar breaking of fast session organised by the state government in Sokoto.
Tambuwal says the people of the state have enjoyed a robust relationship with all members of the resident communities and as such there is no reason for anybody to fear as Sokoto state remain home to every resident in the state irrespective of his tribe or religion.
He condemned the ultimatum given to the Igbo to leave the North by some youths in Kaduna and also commended the leadership of the Northern Governors’ Forum for their prompt action against the rash decision of the youth.
