Former Osun State Governor and APC chieftain Olagunsoye Oyinlola has emerged the Chairman of the Governing board of the National Identity Management Commission.
Inaugurating the Board, the acting secretary to the government of the Federation, Habiba lawal charges it to focus on achieving the remaining aspect of the harmonisation and integration of other databases in to the NIMC data framework.
She called on the private sector to invest promptly in the project in order to help achieve the objective of populating the national identity database.
Represented on the board are the Nigerian Military, the Nigeria Immigration Service, the Federal Road Safety Corps, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, other government agencies and the private sector.
