There was commotion at the palace of the Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Adetunji, when four gunmen opened fire during the installation of four traditional rulers by the Olubadan.
The gunmen stormed the palace at around 11.45am local time, as the installation was going on in the inner chamber of the palace.
They shot repeatedly in front of the palace daring those inside to come out and engage them.
Three journalists and a chieftain of the Labour Party who was a former Secretary to the Oyo State Government, narrowly escaped death while the shooting lasted.

But the commotion did not stop the coronation from taking place.
