Embattled Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye, has denied evading a court-ordered service on him by the Independent National Electoral Commission, regarding a petition for his recall.
But he has asked his lawyer to challenge the jurisdiction of the court to entertain an exparte application for service on him.
Melaye also accused the trial judge of not seeing the petition before granting INEC an order to go ahead with the recall exercise.
He says the petition was only signed by three persons rather than 188,000 as constitutionally required hence the exercise remains a ruse sponsored by the Kogi state government against him.
