Dear Yori Folarin, unable to get you on the phone in respect of reckless behaviour of Some Civil Servants including Maina. I have worked in the private sector, all my life before retiring. The civil servant to my own understanding worked with “General Order”. Have they over-ride the GO for mediocracy, In other word, they are in Service without guideline which now affects internal Audit of services including Finance, Administration, Discipline etc. I live in Basildon Essex England and I don’t need to to go to White Hall to get things done. We need reorientation in all sectors. I remember I had an appointment for 0900hrs in a Ministry in Abuja and arrived at 0830hrs. The Permanent Secretary was not on seat until 1300hrs. When he arrived he was joking with parties attended over the weekend. I was angry and knock the door and told him you did not render apology for your lateness and you are telling me you are busy. I walked away took the next flight to London.
Nigeria is still lacking behind in Public Service and it is affecting all sectors. The Engine Room of Ocean Going Vessel is Knocked beyond repairs. The engine room is the Civil Service. It needs radical overhaul.
