Arrest of Adamawa REC elicits reactions across political divide

The arrest of the Adamawa State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) by the Police has started generating reactions across the political divide in Nigeria.

The director general of Fintiri campaign Organisation, Awwal Tukur described it as a step in the right direction to strengthen the nation’s democracy.

Some APC chieftains in the state hold the view that the arrest would help the party recover its stolen mandate.
