The Federal government has approved a contract for the completion of the Kontagora-Auna dam in Niger State at the cost of N40.2bn (forty point two billion naira).
Minister of Water Resources, Suleiman Adamu disclosed this to journalists at the end of the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Minister says the project is meant to boost the irrigation plans of the government with the aim of increasing agricultural activities by farmers in that axis.
Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami announced that a global forum on stolen funds and assets would be held in the United States in December.
He said this will go a long way in assisting Nigeria to recover more of her looted funds stashed abroad.
