The Minister of education, Adamu Adamu has expressed satisfaction as over 80,000 candidates sat for the rescheduled Unified tertiary matriculation examination, UTME
The minister alongside the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Professor Ishaq Oloyede, monitored the exam at the Computer Based Test centre located in Mambila Barrack’s, Asokoro, Abuja.
The board revealed that about 80,000 candidates, who could not sit for the 2023 UTME within their scheduled time sat for the rescheduled UTME across the country.
Candidates affected include those who were verified at their centres but could not sit for the examination, those who could not be biometrically verified and those with mismatched data, among others.
A total of one million, five hundred and eighty six thousand, seven hundred and sixty five candidates indicated interest in sitting for the 2023 UTME.
