The All Progressives Congress, APC in Taraba State has urged the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to set competency as major yardstick in forming his cabinet.
Consequently, the APC at a meeting in Jalingo presented the minister for transportation, Mu’azu Sambo to President-elect, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu for consideration.
This however followed heavy lobby among APC key players in the state on who makes the list of Tinubu administration.
The APC Santali Council Ward of Jalingo local government called on Sen. Bola Tinubu to reappoint Sambo, for his cabinet.
Speaking for the party and stakeholders, Aliyu Mijinyawa, Welfare Director of the party made the call on in Jalingo, stressing that the call became necessary after due consultation by the Executive Council with critical stakeholders.
He said that the minister’s charismatic leadership that led the party to garner required percentage of votes in the state during both presidential and governorship elections form their decision.
He recalled that Sambo, who doubles as the Tinubu-Shettima Campaign Coordinator in the state had affected the party positively with funding and moral support.
