The evacuation of Islamic State militants from Syria’s northern city of Raqqa is part of an intelligence warfare of big powers.
This is the revelation by some Syrian political and military analysts who added that the move is to bring the war to the battlefield of Syrian army.
The U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces announced in mid-October that it has successfully captured Raqqa after fully defeating the IS.
Before conducting the general offensive, the SDF and the IS had agreed to let 300 IS militants evacuate from Raqqa.
However, a report of the British Broadcasting Corporation on Tuesday revealed that the real number of IS militants leaving Raqqa at that time is approaching 4,000.
Some Syrian analysts pointed out that what should be concerned is not only the number, as the agreement itself has proved that the IS has intelligence contacts with powers involved in the anti-terrorist war in Syria, such as the United States, the United Kingdom and even Turkey.
