Former President Goodluck Jonathan and Governor Seriake Dickson want the Ijaw Nation, particularly Bayelsa state to shun divisive tendencies. Both men were speaking at the lying-in-state of Ijaw elder and politician, Gordon Bozimo, where Governor Dickson called on the people to key into the new Bayelsa, founded on solidarity.
The Ijaw nation is mourning the passing of Chief Gordon Bozimo – politician who last served Nigeria as Chairman, Governing Board of the National Youth Service Corps in 2015.
Former President Goodluck Jonathan and Bayelsa Governor Seriake Dickson were at the Diepreye Alamieyeseigha Memorial Banquet Hall for the lying-in-state of the Ijaw elder.
Governor Seriake Dickson who had earlier led a delegation of elders to condole the Bozimo family in Port Harcourt few months ago, chose the occasion to speak on the new Bayelsa.
Gordon Bozimo, fondly called “The Kingmaker” was a businessman and politician who played key roles in the NPN, the NRC and later, the PDP.
