Taraba State police Commissioner, David Akinremi has disclosed that a police sergeant (names withheld) has been killed in a gun duel with illegal miners in Sadauna local government of the state.
Speaking to TVC News in an interview, Akinremi said security personnel were given matching orders to secure Mayo Sine in Mambilla area of Sardauna from illegal mining activities but were resisted by the miners in a crossfire.
He explained that a policeman and a civilian died in the incident.
