The officials of the Nigerian Custom Federal Operations Unit Zone D. Bauchi has again intercepted some illegally imported Items smuggled to the north eastern state by some suspected smugglers .
Comptroller of the zone, Oyeleke Kunle disclosed that two vehicles loaded with six hundred bags of 50 kg foreign parboiled rice and 30 bales of second hand clothing were intercepted by the customs anti smuggling squad .
He also noted that smugglers now repackage smuggled rice inside sugar sacks to deceive security operatives.
Recall that similar seizure of items worth millions of Naira were made few weeks ago in the State.
