Teachers in Kaduna state have raised alarm over what they say could be a
violation of the law.
They say they are in receipt of information that the government is set to send letters of termination of appointment to several of them.
But the teachers say this would be in violation of the law done.
They say the industrial court on 14th December restrained the government
from sacking any of them based on a competency test.
They have threatened to harmonize with their national body for action if
the government proceeds with the speculated move.
But government officials in Kaduna state insist that the teachers who failed the competency test stand sacked.
In a telephone conversation with our correspondent in the state, they said a recruitment exercise was last week conducted for more competent hands to fill their positions.
