Nigeria’s Aruna Quadri has moved from the 21st to the 20th position in the men’s table tennis ranking.
The Nigerian top seed became the first African to win an ITTF World Tour title outside the continent when he won the Polish Open.
But he lost the number one position on the continent to rival, Omar Assar of Egypt, who moved from the 26th to the 16th position.
Another Nigerian, Olajide Omotayo, also rose by more than 200 steps from 514 to 213 in the ranking.
German Dimitrij Ovtcharov displaced Olympic and World Champion, China’s Ma Long as World number one.
