The Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA) is seeking a partnership with Binance and Talent City for Nigeria to develop the first Virtual Free Zone in West Africa as part of its efforts to further deepen the country’s economy.
Mr. Adesoji Adesugba, Managing Director of NEPZA, made the announcement in Dubai after meeting with officials from the two companies.
Adesugba, who is also the Authority’s Chief Executive Officer, explained that when the partnership is finalised, it will be similar to the Dubai Virtual Free Zone.
The vision of his management according to the NEPZA boss centres on expanding frontiers of innovations in the operations and management of free zones in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
Binance, a global digital blockchain finance services firm, was represented at the parley by Nadeem Ladki, its Executive Director, Regional Strategic Partnerships and Sameera Kimatrai, Binance Senior Legal Counsel.
