Jennifer Garner has been lobbying U.S. politicians to increase funding for the education of children in rural America. The 44-year-old actress travelled to Washington D.C. last Fridayand met with lawmakers’ top staffers with the aim of boosting early years education outside America’s cities.
Jennifer, a boardmember of the charity Save the Children for nine years, has worked to promote reading and literacy programs that help those from areas where good early years education is not available.
In an interview with the Washington Post Jennifer said she hoped U.S. President Donald Trump would make good on his campaign promises to help America’s left behind communities by funding educational programs.
