The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed the death of two persons in an accident involving a Toyota Camry and a Benz truck at Isara on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Sunday.
Commander Ahmed Umar, the FRSC Sector Commander in Ogun State, confirmed the incident to newsmen in Abeokuta.
Umar said that the accident occured at 11:30 a.m, Sunday.
The sector commander explained that the accident was caused by over speed which led to loss of control on the part of the Toyota Camry driver.
He added that the Toyota Camry with registration number FST 783 FM rammed into the moving truck marked T-4395 LA.
The FRSC boss stated that five men were involved in the accident and that two people were injured, one person was unhurt while the remaining two persons had died.
Umar said that the injured victims were taken to State Hospital, Isara while the deceased were deposited at the morgue of same hospital.
The sector commander commiserated with the family of the crash victims.
He advised motorists to always obey traffic rules and regulations, saying that excessive speed kills.
