Hundreds of gunmen suspected to be cattle rustlers have attacked Kadarko community in Keana local government area of Nasarawa.
This led to the missing of two Fulani people and the killing of 73 cows.
Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Nasarawa state, Muhammed Hussaini said the gunmen stormed village which borders Benue and Nasarawa states on Sunday.
He said they shot indiscriminately, killing 73 cows, injuring many other cows and rustling more than 200 others and returning to Benue State.
Hussaini advised all the affected herders to remain calm as government and security operatives were working to ensure that the perpetrators faced the full wrath of the law.
Meanwhile, the Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, Idrisu Kennedy, said there was no loss of live in the attack, and that of six people who got missing, four were seen but two other Fulani herders were still missing.
