The Bayelsa State Government through the State Employment and Expenditure For Results Project has organized a sensitization workshop as part of its Public Financial Management reforms. State Coordinator of the SEEFOR Project Anyens Adogu said the aim of the workshop is to aid Permanent Secretaries of Ministries, Agencies and Parastatals to promote an effective budgeting system in the state.
The Bayelsa public service is undergoing reforms for prudent management of resources in Ministries, Agencies and Parastatals in the state.
The State Employment And Expenditure For Results Project wants Permanent Secretaries and Accounting Officers to be well grounded in policies of effective budget implementation.
The sensitization workshop is also meant to strengthen budgetary reforms in line with international best practices.
The theme of the sensitization workshop is Budgeting For Sustainable Development.
