Spokesperson for former military ruler, Ibrahim Babangida, Kassim Afegbua has turned himself in, Wednesday morning at the Force Headquarters, two days after he was declared wanted by the police.
The police accused Afegbua of distributing false statement on behalf of former military ruler, Ibrahim Babangida.

The statement criticised President Muhammadu Buhari and canvassed a young leadership for the country.
The police said the statement is inciting, but did not say which part of it was contentious.
Media adviser to ex-Nigerian leader had earlier said he would turn himself in to the authorities by Wednesday and was prepared to fight his ordeal in courts, even as he absolved himself of any wrongdoing.
Afegbua released the Sunday statement which Mr. Babangida, a former head of state, used to complain about President Muhammadu Buhari’s shortcomings and advised Nigerians on the path to the future.
Hours after the statement was released, a counter press release emerged that purportedly had Babangida’s approval.
The development immediately threw the public into confusion, and reports surfaced Sunday night that police were looking for Mr. Afegbua.
